Social Media Coordinator

We are seeking a social media coordinator to work on a part-time basis at our integrated marketing agency. The job requires 15-18 hours per week including participation in weekly planning session. Applicant should have experience using social media for business. You will be working on multiple accounts, each with its own target audience(s) and brand voice. You will think strategically to fit social media into our clients’ marketing strategies — not just “selling” to their customers but building long lasting relationships. An interest in travel and hospitality is advantageous. There is a potential for this to develop into a full-time position with the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Post daily and continuously monitor all applicable social media outlets including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and YouTube
  • Learn and communicate the voice of each client’s brand
  • Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
  • Partner with team members to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy
  • Tailor messages to fit each channel while ensuring consistency of messages
  • Manage social media advertising budgets and develop effective, targeted ads as needed
  • Coordinate marketing calendar with online activity
  • Prepare reports to update internal team and clients on usage statistics
  • Suggest action steps to increase impact and build engagement
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and best practices
  • Write search engine optimized blog posts

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business Administration
  • Strong written communication skills with an emphasis on grammar
  • Strong working knowledge of social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube and Pinterest
  • Knowledge of WordPress, SproutSocial and Facebook insights a plus
  • Photo editing skills
  • Knowledge of social media best practices for brands
  • An understanding of basic customer service skills
