Account Executive

Full time position

The ideal candidate will need to work well independently and as part of the team, able to effectively manage multiple clients and tasks while meeting deadlines, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with all internal personnel (public relations, graphic & web design, management, etc.) on the development and implementation of client projects
  • Coordinate information flow and track project activities
  • Prepare materials for and participate in regular client conference calls
  • Monitor campaign performance and issue performance reports
  • Execute client media plans and advertising within budget
  • Content creation and copywriting for blog, emails, newsletters, social media, etc.
  • Execute day-to-day social media initiatives. Post content and develop strategies across major channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and YouTube
  • Integrate social media with ongoing marketing strategy
  • Database management for targeted email and direct marketing

Skills & Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations or business administration
  • Three years of marketing experience preferred
  • Highly organized multi-tasker with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Social media savvy with knowledge of best practices for brands
  • Basic photo editing skills and knowledge of Photoshop
  • Experience with WordPress, SproutSocial and Facebook insights
  • An understanding of basic customer service skills and dedication to client service
  • Basic knowledge of html, search engine optimization and search engine marketing fundamentals a plus

Compensation

  • Commensurate with experience

Public Relations Account Executive

Full time position

The ideal candidate will need to work well independently and as part of the team, able to effectively manage multiple clients and tasks while meeting deadlines, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in public relations is required. 

Breakdown

  • 60% on PR responsibilities, including press release draft and distribution, press visit coordination, media pitches and follow up, press kit development and updates
  • 15% on social media, including content strategy and development, updates to client and agency blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube accounts
  • 15% on client digital marketing and advertising efforts, including copywriting and editing for websites, collateral, print and online advertising, and email marketing
  • 10% on meetings and various administration efforts for clients and agency

 
Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and advise clients on integrated and measurable public relations programs
  • Execute effective PR strategies, including press releases, media and blogger relations, press visits, promotions and contests
  • Identify and generate creative publicity and content opportunities, including capitalizing on changes in the marketplace, industry trends, awards and honors
  • Serve as a media contact for all clients, liaising between the clients and local, national and international journalists to generate positive coverage
  • Develop and nurture relationships with local, national and international consumer and trade media on behalf of the agency and its clients
  • Advise clients on reputation management and messaging   
  • Assist with integrated marketing, advertising, social media and website efforts for clients, including strategy and campaign development, copywriting and editing
  • Contribute to the PR and social media efforts for the agency, including publicity efforts, blog articles, Facebook and Twitter
  • Demonstrate measurable public relations success to clients

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum of three years experience in public relations
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Strong knowledge of PR best practices for engaging with journalists, including press releases, pitching and relationship building, and proven ability to deliver results
  • Energetic, self-starter who is proactive and creative in identifying and developing communication programs
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple client accounts and projects to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in managing social media networks and monitoring tools
  • Basic knowledge of SEO copywriting a plus
